Our Story

Founded in 2016, Eat Your Heart Out SD was built on a simple idea: great food should be fresh, handheld, and unforgettable. We source locally and cook with care, bringing vegetarian, vegan, and meat-centric options to the streets of San Diego.

Our roots run deep — inspired by a family fashion business in West Virginia and the rich flavors of a grandmother's Lebanese cooking, every dish carries a story. We believe food brings people together, and our truck is where that happens every day.

The journey of Eat Your Heart Out SD began with a passion for bringing people together through thoughtfully crafted food. Drawing inspiration from a family background in fashion and the cherished recipes of a grandmother's Lebanese kitchen, the team set out to create handheld dishes that celebrate fresh, local ingredients. Every menu item is designed to be eaten without utensils, making each bite convenient without sacrificing flavor or quality. From hearty meat options to vibrant vegetarian and vegan choices, the focus remains on sourcing from nearby farms and producers to support the San Diego community. What started as a simple food truck has grown into a beloved catering service that brings that same street-food energy to weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across the city.
